Meriteji is a conlang developed by me as the primary language for the Meritite Union nation. It is a modern descendant of Native Besasji, with many influences from other Native languages and the languages of immigrants.
Features
- Agglutinative
- SOV (but with mostly free word order)
- Tripartite alignment (trans. agent ≠ trans. patient ≠ intrans. subject)
- Extensive but highly regular noun case declension and verb conjugation
- Semi-featural syllabary with Hispano-centric romanization
- Head-final with postpositions (called particles from Japanese)
